Hello all together!
Since it's only a week left is it more than time for a newsletter to you all!!
What is important?
1. some basic informations
2. informations for volunteering
1. BASIC INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE CAMP
Most infos can be found on this website!
SLEEPING:
It's a Camp - yes. Of course there will be space to
crash down in the hall for the night. But please
consider camping as the better option. Please bring
your tent(s) and if you have free space in your tent,
why shouldn't you host somebody there?! There is
already a tent share section in the forum but of course you can still
organise that on the spot. And I'm pretty sure many
will just find a nice spot for their matrace on the
beach or won't sleep at all.
FOOD:
there will be snacks and basic dishes available at the
location (i.e. sandwiches, candy bars, fruits,
yoghurts, sausages, steaks, salads,...) as well as all
kind of drinks for reasonable prices. But don't expect
any "haute cuisine"...
A cheap supermarket is close by (they've even ordered
some extra beer for us, lol), so self-catering is the
deal of the day as organised cooking for more than 600
ppl just doesn't work.
Please remember that the shops will be closed on
sunday and monday (public holiday), so make sure you
have everything you need before saturday evening.
ENTRANCE FEES:
An event like this is not possible without money.
We have a lot of expenses and with the bigger location
this year we tried to keep the entrance fee on the same
level as last year. Only the day tickets raised a EURO!
This is the deal:
you stay all 5 days: 18EUR
you stay only 4 days: 16EUR
you stay only 3 days: 15EUR
you stay only 2 days: 11EUR
you stay only 1 day: 6EUR (if you arrive after 19:00 and leave the next day before 13:00)
We can assure you, that we won't make money with your
entrance fees!! The whole calculation of the camp will
be made public after the camp on the website. We are
a german association and not allowed to make any profit!
SECURITY:
only registered members will have access to the site.
But with a crowd like this, just make sure you have an
eye on your personal belongings. None of the
organisers is, will be or can be held responsible for lost items!
SAFETY:
We want you to have a great time at the Berlin Camp.
Your safety is important to us. Therefore we have some
very easy but essential safety rules. Please respect
this so that we can have a good time together.
ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS VESSELS on party area (that
includes bottles, glasses, etc.) unless you leave them
in your tents. You can refill drinks into plastic
bottles at the entrance.
The reason is that after us the location will be used again by families
with little children and we don't want them to step
into glass hidden in the sand. For the same reason -
this goes maily to the guys - it is mandatory to use
the toilets, even if you are drunk and don't want to
walk 50 m to the bathrooms. Everyone who's peeing into
the bushes will get to know the owner :) And he's
big...
NO OPEN FIRES TH OTHER THAN INDICATED PLACES
2. Volunteers
We need volunteers who can help us in preparing the camp on
wednesday with building the stage, setting up chairs and tables.
Of course, most has to be done after the camp like cleaning the area,
disassembling the stage and make the beach ready for normal use.
We still seeking some people with knowledge in professionell sound
equipement and who can help us in setting up the stage and/or in sound
mixing of the bands. Would be great when these task can be done by as many
people as possible since the last years it was a lot of work for the responsible
people.
